At the age of 9 Ben started playing the alto saxophone. He fell in love with the saxophone, and the saxophone sucked up all his attention.
After a few years of studying at the local music school in Krimpen aan den IJssel (Netherlands) he attended the Havo voor Muziek en Dans in Rotterdam. A High School for kids with a talent for music or dance. During the Havo he met so many musicians with a passion for different music styles, so at a very young age, Ben developed an interest for many different music genres.
At the age of 19 Ben auditioned for the Rotterdam Conservatory Codarts, for which he was accepted immediately. He was accepted for the Jazz Department. After 2 years of studying at the Rotterdam Conservatory, Ben became a bandmember of Waylon, one of the biggest singers in the Netherlands. This obviously meant full weeks of touring, practicing and traveling. The Conservatory and Waylon was impossible for him to combine, so he choose to be on the road, and decided to quit his study at Codarts.

To this day, Ben is still playing in the band of Wolter Kroes. In 2018 and 2019 they celebrated Wolter's 30th anniversary as a singer, with 2 great shows in the amazing Amsterdam Carré and the AFAS Live.
In 2012 Ben was introduced to Lodewijk Fluttert (DJ Bakermat). Bakermat was up and rising at that time, and was looking for something special to add in his performances. Ben joined him on stage and from that moment Bakermat added Ben to almost every show. Together they toured all around the world and played at some amazing venues and festivals such as: Tomorrowland, Tomorrowworld USA, Ultra Miami, Corona Capitol Mexico, Olympia Paris, Sensation Amsterdam, Brixton Academy London to name a few. Ben is still playing with Bakermat.
During his career Ben joined a lot of artists on stage or in the studio. He also worked with DJ's like: Sam Feldt, Thomas Jack, The Hofnar, Driftmoon, Federico Scavo and many more.
At the moment Ben is creating new music besides his gigs. In his studio he makes demos for his own project, and album quality recordings for artists.
